Changing thanks to communication!

Nowadays, in almost all organisations there are two words which are used very often: change and communication. This is also true in the FCI.

Change
Change is a natural evolution process and should always be kept in mind, any time! Otherwise the organisation is not working on a quality and stable future…

A few examples of what we should do:

  • interfere more and more in healthy and welfare issues for our dogs, which are part of our society, and especially cooperate with welfare organisations;
  • always keep the quality of our dogs at high level

Experience the Extraordinary at the World Dog Show, with Eukanuba

In its capacity as the principal sponsor of the FCI World Dog Show 2013 Eukanuba is very much looking forward to Budapest.

Jose Luis Ibáñez, Eukanuba Breeder Manager EMEA & Show Chair Eukanuba World Challenge, states, “Eukanuba is a ‘Partner of Excellence’ to the FCI and the Hungarian Kennel Club. We are extremely proud to be the principal sponsor of the 2013 World Dog Show held in Budapest. Together with our partners we strive for excellence and creating a memorable experience to last for all participants and visitors.”

During the entire weekend the Eukanuba team will welcome breeders and dog enthusiasts alike at their 300 square metre booth right next to the main ring offering attractions such as the official photo booth of the event and a nice hospitality area.

The Eukanuba World Challenge 2013 European Qualifying Event is being hosted at the FCI World Dog Show in Budapest, on Saturday 18th of May. FCI Kennel Clubs from 24 European Countries have been invited to nominate their representative dog to participate. All Qualifying Event judging will take place in the main ring in the presence of the ringside audience. Participating dogs will be presented to world-renowned all-breed judge Mr Laurent Pichard from Switzerland who will select the two top winning dogs. These two dogs will represent their respective countries in one of the four non-geographical sections at the EWC. This prestigious event, hosted by the AKC / Eukanuba National Championships is being held in Orlando, Florida on 14th & 15th December 2013. Laurent knows what it takes to participate in the EWC – his Multi Ch Very Vigie Vamos à la Playa (ASCOB cocker) was designated as the first Eukanuba World Champion in Long Beach California at the inaugural show in 2007. He has been judging all over Europe, the UK and usually at World or European shows and has a wealth of experience in the world of dogs. Laurent is also in charge of organising the upcoming European Dog Show taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, in late August.

Besides the two dogs selected in the Qualifying Event the BIS winner of the FCI World Dog Show 2013 will be entitled to compete in Orlando alongside approximately 40 of the world’s finest dogs for the title ‘Eukanuba World Challenge Champion 2013’. Last year’s BIS win at the FCI World Dog Show was awarded to Eukanuba breeder club members, Nicklas and Ingunn Erikson’s stylish Saluki ‘Int. Swe, Nor, DK, Slovakian & Slovenian Ch Nordic Winner 07, FCI European Winner 2010 & FCI World Winner 09 & 2012 Shiraz California Dreaming’. Harley was the runner up in the 2012 edition of the EWC. Nicklas said about the event, “I am very excited by this win, it has been lots of fun being here and competing against so many excellent dogs. Eukanuba does an excellent job with the organisation of this major world event.”

Furthermore the drawing of the 4 non-geographical sections for the EWC 2013 will take place at the Eukanuba booth during the World Dog Show weekend. That means that the composition of the 4 groups in which the pre-judging in Orlando is held in December will be defined already in Budapest.

The EWC QE and all other World Dog Show main ring programming can be viewed via live streaming. More details about the live-streaming are going to be announced in one of the upcoming newsletters.

The 24 National Kennel Clubs invited to the Qualifying Event are: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldavia, Monaco, Romania, San Marino, Serbia ,Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
